Our Learning Environment- Preschool Program
The goal of every Bright Star Kids Academy classroom is to provide our toddlers and preschoolers with the learning experiences they need to prepare for kindergarten.
The program's goals are to promote growth in language and literacy, math concepts, sciences, arts, physical development, and personal and social competence.
At Bright Star Kids Academy we believe in the importance of play, and in engaging our children in learning through our guided discovery philosophy.
We believe in observing what the kids are interested in, and then bringing their interests to developmentally appropriate activities.
Our curriculum is designed to support the whole child's growth, and as teachers we design an enriched environment in which the child can explore.
As the child explores the environment and activities provided, the teacher acts as a guide and asks open-ended questions to encourage the child to think through the process as he or she comes to an conclusion.
Every child is a scientist ready to explore, and we are here to help foster their curiosity!
Were here to help prepare your child for success in school and beyond.
Learning Environment: Classroom furniture and equipment are arranged in several clearly defined interest areas that enable children to find, use, and return the materials they need in order to explore, invent, and learn about their world.
Daily Routine: Each day follows a similar schedule of events, providing consistency for both children and adults.
The Preschool class routines gives children the opportunity to pursue their own interests, make plans, follow through on them, and reflect on their experiences with peers and adults.

Goals of our classrooms
The goal of every Bright Star Kids Academy classroom is to provide our toddlers & preschoolers with the learning experiences they need to prepare for kindergarten. The program's goals are to promote growth in language and literacy, math concepts, sciences, arts, physical development, and personal and social competence.
Active Learning Children are involved in direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, ideas, and events. While teachers share control and initiative with children, they are guided by key experiences that all children need to have as part of their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
Adult-Child Interaction: Adults observe and interact with children at their level to discover how each child thinks and reasons. Adults interact with children in ways that empower children to take control of their own learning.
